Sarah’s short film Class Trip had its World Premiere in the international competition of the 2011 Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, where it was invited to screen again in a retrospective program in 2014. Based on a short story by acclaimed New York author Victor LaValle the project was awarded grants from New York State Council on the Arts and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, won a Best Dramatic Short Award, and sold to Canal Plus (France and Afrique).

Sarah’s previous film I’m Your Man, financed by the Swedish Film Institute and SVT Drama, aired on Swedish national television and was selected for over a dozen film festivals in the U.S. and Europe, winning a Best Short Comedy Award and invitations to screen at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C. and Scandinavia House, New York.

Sarah’s feature-length screenplay Resurrections was a finalist for the ABC New Talent Development Fellowship and was selected for participation in the Independent Feature Project Market section ”Emerging Narratives.”

Sarah began as a camera intern on Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever, going on to work in various production capacities on feature and television films. She has taught at New York Film Academy and recently served as the assistant director to the artist and director Matthew Barney on his epic film River of Fundament. Sarah continuously works on her own film projects and is currently focused on her Swedish feature VITA. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Barnard College, Columbia University, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and lives in New York City.
